Ushers meet and greet members and visitors at the door of the church and sanctuary. Their priority is to make everyone’s visit a pleasant one. Ushers help prepare worship and maintain order and decency during worship services.
Acting as hosts for God, they are evangelists and promote public relations. They provide a special aid to the pastor by protecting the worship service from unwarranted distractions and by ensuring the church is ready for service. Ushers carry out God’s program of salvation for the redemption of mankind.
